About Me

Welcome to my Web site!

Hey there, welcome to my website! My husband, pup and myself moved to Colorado December 2004.

I grew up in Maryland, and moved to Colorado from Delaware, Delaware is where I met my husband Chad! I never cared for the east coast. It was too hot, too humid, too crowded, too polluted. I had been planning to move my entire life, thankfully the man I married also had the same plan.

We talked about moving since the day we met. After looking at options around the USA, we centered on Colorado. Chad desperately needed a vacation, so we decided to make a trip to Colorado and check it out. It was love at first sight! Beautiful, clean, with little or no traffic, polite people, and so much to do! We were set on moving, we returned to make sure we were sane. We returned home, packed our home, sold our house, and headed on the road as soon as we could. Our home sold for more then we asked, in just 2 days, plus they requested a quick settlement!

Our trip west was excellent. Our first stay was in a house our realtor rented to us. The house and community was brand new, and just precious! We had previously set on a home on the northwest side of Colorado Springs. We looked at a variety of homes, which all were stunning, each was compromised by being to close to a road or too steep of a yard. After living on the east side of Colorado Springs we found it was convenient, and really nice. We found a nice home, in a new community, the killer great part was the option of an outside fireplace! So we moved into our new home in May 2005! What a wonderful community too, the neighbors are awesome, the homes are colorful, and the location is fabulous!

I had taken real-estate classes in the beginning of 2005. My intention was to pursue appraising, but life's direction took me back to optical. I had started with a temp agency June 2005. I was looking just to gain some money for our home, then continue with the appraising plan or my quest to work with our home builder. Instead my first temp job was working with a wonderful ophthalmologist. he had been royally screwed over by a gal who had worked there for 13 years, and was horribly disheartened by the trust that he was robbed of. I simply adored the doc, his wife and his patients. I became permanent back in August 2005. It is more then a job, they are friends and family! I could not be happier.

Great job, beautiful home, beautiful community, wonderful neighbors, in a beautiful state!

My Thoughts/ Observations:

I have some favorite sayings, they may be old and spoken with out meaning, but they hold meaning to me:

  • Nothing worthwhile was ever easy (at least it should not be, and certainly would lose its value if it were).

  • Friends are your chosen family (if you have family that brings you down, or hurts you, why should you continue having a relationship with them and continue the cycle of hurt? choose those who have value and bring meaning to your life!).

  • Because it has always been done that way (ok this is a non favorite, but one that gets me rolling with annoyance! Don't follow the pack, don't do things with out knowing why! Find out the meaning behind things, the history, and be wiser for obtaining the knowledge!)

  • With age comes wisdom (yes, and no.. share what you know, but to be wise it to never stop learning, and obtaining knowledge, there is no-one who knows all!)
